The Board of Directors of BRUGG Group AG appoints Roger Amhof as the new CEO of the Rittmeyer Group, effective 1 August 2022. He succeeds Eugen Erzinger, the interim CEO a.i. who will again devote himself entirely to his duties as CFO.
After holding positions at Ernst & Young and then on the executive board at Landis+Gyr, the trained economist was most recently responsible for the global Digital Solutions and Consulting business at Kistler Group. In this role, he was responsible for the software business and the development of new digital service offerings based on Kistler’s measurement technology and methods for industrial and research processes.
Amhof has profound knowledge as a decision-maker in the industrial goods and energy environment, especially in the field of sensor technology, dynamic measurement technology and energy management solutions in a global, competitive environment. At Rittmeyer, Amhof intends to use his experience to prepare the company for future challenges. This includes, among other things, the digitalisation of municipal energy and water management, issues of urban drainage and, in general, meeting new challenges in municipal infrastructure in the wake of climate change. This is also very much the focus of the BRUGG industry group’s strategy, which concentrates on energy transition, sustainability, and infrastructure security.
In taking up his post, Roger Amhof says: «I am very much looking forward to my new task as CEO of the Rittmeyer Group. Energy and water supply is one of the essential pillars of a functioning economy and offers people quality of life and security. However, it also faces significant upheavals that call for new ideas and approaches. I will work to ensure that Rittmeyer remains a sustainable company and consistently exploits its opportunities in the market.»
At BRUGG Group AG, to which the Rittmeyer Group belongs, CEO Stephan Wartmann is convinced that he has found the ideal person for the job in Roger Amhof: «Roger Amhof combines all the central qualities for this task: he knows the industrial market environment very well and knows how to use new technologies for market success and customer benefit. Furthermore, he is a leader with integrity and authenticity. We are delighted to have Roger Amhof on board.»
Amhof holds a Master’s degree from the University of Fribourg (lic.rer.pol) and is a graduate of the International Directors Program at INSEAD.
